1. Who we are

"Smart Lab Tec" is the trade name of a sole proprietorship registered in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Its activities recorded in the commercial register are import and export offices, cargo handling (loading and unloading), and freight services within the Arab Republic of Egypt. We provide sourcing from Europe and China, freight forwarding, customs clearance, and paid import consultations.

2. Our services

Our services include:

• Paid consultations: one-on-one sessions (Quick Call or full Import Session) concluding with written recommendations and estimated figures.
• Sourcing and brokerage: identifying suppliers, vetting them, and negotiating on your behalf.
• Shipping and customs clearance: booking and tracking freight, completing customs formalities, and ACID registration through the Nafeza platform.

We may change the scope or pricing of our services at any time. Price changes do not apply to bookings already confirmed and paid for.

3. Booking and confirmation

When you submit the booking form, WhatsApp opens with your details pre-filled. A booking is only confirmed once we reply confirming it and the applicable fee has been paid. We aim to respond within 24 hours on working days.

4. Fees and payment

• All prices shown on the website are in Egyptian Pounds (EGP) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise.
• Consultation fees are payable in full before the session takes place.
• Accepted payment methods: Vodafone Cash, InstaPay, bank transfer, and card payment once available.
• Full Sourcing services are quoted separately per shipment in a written quotation.
• Consultation fee credit: if you engage us for Full Sourcing within 90 days of your session, the consultation fee is deducted in full from your first invoice.

5. Client responsibilities

• Providing accurate and complete information about the product, quantity, and budget.
• Ensuring the goods you wish to import are legal to trade in Egypt and obtaining any licences or regulatory approvals required.
• Paying amounts due on time, including customs duties and taxes payable on the goods.
• Reviewing samples and quotations and approving them in writing before an order is placed.

6. Nature of our advice — no guarantee of profit

The consultations, plans, and estimates we provide are professional opinions for guidance, based on information available at the time. Prices, freight rates, customs classifications, and exchange rates are inherently variable, and estimates are not binding quotations.

7. Intellectual property

All website content, import plans, reports, and cost sheets we produce remain the intellectual property of Smart Lab Tec. Clients may use them for their own business purposes; they may not be republished, resold, or shared with third parties for commercial purposes without our written permission.

8. Confidentiality

We keep our clients' commercial information confidential and disclose it only as far as necessary to deliver the service (for example to suppliers, freight forwarders, and customs brokers) or where required by law.

9. Third parties

Parts of the service are performed by independent third parties (factories, freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers, and government bodies). We exercise due care in selecting and monitoring them, but we are not responsible for their errors, delays, or breaches, nor for the decisions of customs and regulatory authorities.

10. Limitation of liability

In all cases, our contractual liability to a client shall not exceed the amounts actually paid for the service in dispute. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, such as loss of profit or opportunity, losses arising from market or exchange-rate movements or changes in law, or for force majeure events beyond our control.

11. Prohibited use

You may not use the website or our services for any unlawful activity, including importing or exporting prohibited or restricted goods without licences, money laundering, or evading customs duties or taxes. We reserve the right to refuse or terminate any such engagement without refund.

12. Cancellation and refunds

Cancellation of bookings and refunds of fees are governed by our separate Cancellation Policy and Return & Refund Policy, which form part of these Terms.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms from time to time; the last-updated date is shown at the top of this page. Changes take effect from the date of publication and do not affect bookings confirmed beforehand.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Arab Republic of Egypt, and the Egyptian courts in Cairo have jurisdiction over any dispute arising from them. We will first seek to resolve any dispute amicably within 30 days of being notified of it.
